OUR STORY
NCSA is conceptualized by Spouses Jose Andres Cadenas and Normita De Guzman Cadenas in early 1990. A Christian family exposed to Sunday School work, it was only natural that the couple found the need of effectively communicating the Gospel to the young. Starting early with preclude indiscriminate pitfalls of the rising generations. Nurturing them in the realm of spiritual dimensions and training the intellect in an academic orientation will facilitate Christian growth and development. So was the essence of the family’s desire. And so was born Nazareth Christian School of Antipolo.
The school was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 22, 1991 as a non-stock, non-profit organization. The initial incorporators were the Cadenas family, Jose, Normita, and daughter, Mary Rose. Starting with eight (8) pre-school learners in school year 1990-1991, NCSA was accommodated at the garage of the Cadenas residence located at No. 4 Prince Albert Street, Kingsville Subdivision, Antipolo City. The school stayed thereat for two years. With the pre-school’s first two years of performance, it earned for itself government recognition.
Buoyed up with the initial success and undaunted by the challenges of the skeptics, Mr. Cadenas caused the offering of the grade school (Grade I to VI), school year 1992-1993. The public response was encouraging. Enrollment increased in number. The school was transferred to its present location, along Sumulong Highway, right across the entrance gate to the Kingsville Subdivision. First and second year high school levels, population was 250.
In June of 1994, Spouses Carlos and Josefina Santos were accepted into the Board. With almost four hundred students to serve during the school year 2002-2003, NCSA continued to pursue its development plans, the school’s way of expressing its witness to the Gospel and for the blessings so kindly provided.
Unprecedented development strides took place. The first few areas of concern were clarification of the school’s vision and mission statements, objectives of the school, the organizational structure, policy guidelines and evaluation measures. To ensure the awareness and capability of the human resource complement in attending to the day-to-day needs both in and out of the classrooms, aggressive in-house seminars for teachers and support personnel were held. Priority attention was given the Biblical integration to the curriculum. This was followed by Christian Leadership and practical ways of reading and learning the Holy Scriptures. Teachers and other school officials were given chances to attend relevant out-house seminars particularly in areas of Educational Leadership, Curriculum, Educational Planning, Classroom Management, Functions of Management, Performance Evaluation, and many others called for by DepEd and theIr private organizations. To date, school officials, teachers, and support personnel and many of the parents who come would readily beam with joy as they see their children become vessels for God’s honor. As the school start to sincerely build a culture of excellence, we anticipate with eagerness that we will truly increase more and more!
